My Samsung Galaxy Tab Review

The benefit of the Galaxy Tab is that since it is part of Google’s android operating system, it virtually gives access to millions of applications on the android market which can prove to be very useful to anybody. Some of the most common applications which are really helpful are applications like Google maps with Street view, Google talk, YouTube and various other applications as well. The Google maps with Street view was one of the most useful application is that I have ever come across. This application eliminates the need for navigation systems. This means that the Samsung Galaxy Tab or for that matter any other device that is followed by the Google operating system can give you access to Google maps with Street view which can replace your ‘Tom Toms’!

This device made for T-Mobile uses a high-speed network that is offered by T-Mobile. Visit connectivity has never been better on a tablet device. With the 7 inch screen, web browsing and connectivity to social networking sites has never been better. There is however one drawback that has been seen with the team about connectivity. This is the fact that even with the T-Mobile sim card; you will not be able to make a phone call to the device. This may be a very curious instance but there have been several other users have also complained about not being able to make a wise call with the Sim card that is provided by T Mobile. Some users have even complained that even if the device has been unlocked, voice calls are absolutely impossible to make. Other than this one drawback, the Galaxy Tab seems to be poised to be one of the best tablets available in the market.

The device comes with dual camera option. This means that there is a camera on the front foot videoconferencing and there is a camera at the back that can be used as a digital camera. This feature alone puts this device ahead of many other tablets in the market. For example even the iPad 1 does not have this feature. Making use of 3G networks and Wi-Fi networks, videoconferencing is very easy with this device.

The display resolution of this device is 1020 X 600 pixel resolution. This is the same resolution that is offered on the Apple’s iPad. Although the screen is on the 7 inches across, the potential to enjoy video and games on the device is immense.

Samsung has even developed a social hub that is present on most of their android devices. The Samsung Galaxy Tab also comes equipped with the Samsung social hub which offers users a one-stop shopping for all your great. In other words you can manage all your social network services such as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace in just one application. This means that the e-mails, contacts and also messages and other services that are available in these various social networks are available in just one application on the Samsung Galaxy. Another of function of the Galaxy Tab that is missing in most of the tablet devices is the group messaging functionality.

Those of you who are worried about the internal memory and storage capacity of the Galaxy Tab, the external memory can be upgraded to about 32 GB with the Micro SD slot on the device. This means that if you have two or more memory cards as I do, you can then have access to all information without having to delete anything on any memory cards! Also as the outer limit for the memory cards that it is 32 GB, it means that you can also use your older memory cards which could be lesser than 32 GB as well. All in all, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is a highly portable tablet device that offers both functionality and entertainment all in one device!
